I began the week with a tight neck and tension headache. I ended feeling like I had “unwound” and truly felt the benefits of regular mindfulness practice.

Read MoreMy knowledge of mindfulness was to be in the “here and now”, so it was good to go into it properly. I liked the 5 divisions, and linking each to real life, not making it a theoretical nebulous concept. Linking the body and mind was important and had a direct relevance for yoga practice. Certain phrases have stayed with me and are very helpful - “Body is always in the present, mind isn’t so go back to the breath…”, “the stream of thoughts…sit on the bank and watch them go by…go back to the breath…”, “compassion’s role as well as attention and focus.” Thank you, Lou.
