Soulful Summer Retreat

Sunday 26 June 10.30-16.30

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky is hardly a waste of time" ~ John Lubbock

This Soulful Summer Retreat will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • slow down for a while and just be,
  • witness and honour the Summer Solstice,
  • create physical space in the body and a calmness of mind,
  • connect with your own inner light of wisdom and joy,
  • receive some well-deserved inner nourishment and deep rest.

Allow yourself to be held in this beautiful, unique space to explore the wisdom of the body, mind and Mother Nature to create greater calm, freedom and lasting happiness. As we learn to keep in harmony with nature and the seasons, we naturally encourage a flow and ease to return.

We will have the opportunity to explore areas of this ancient landscape that the public don't usually have access to, including 'the secret garden' which is just perfect for mindful walking.

No experience necessaryjust a readiness to journey inwards.

Early Bird Offer available until 29th May - £134 after this date. Places are limited and sell out quickly so do book your space if you'd like to join us.

'A unique approach to yoga'

by Liz Hobman

'Louise has a very unique approach to teaching yoga, drawing learning from nature, neuroscience and nourishing spiritual teachings! I love the variety in her programmes, which combine mindfulness practices, movement and postures, readings and poetry, with wisdom and warmth. I am learning so much about how the mind, body and spirit can work together to cultivate compassion, strength and resilience for ourselves and those around us.'

This special location

Our Soulful Summer Retreat will take place at The Oak House Studio, a stunning location set within the grounds of historic Hatfield Park.

Our practices will take place inside the beautifully restored old church hall, which dates back to 1869, as well as in the grounds of Hatfield Park.

Soak up the peace and quiet of this unique location and allow it to bring you home to yourself.

'Supports mental health'

by Finola McManus

'What I love best about your teachings is that they not only give the benefit of a yoga practice but also deliver simple and practical ways to apply the teachings in every day life and help support mental wellbeing which is especially important at this time.'

What you can expect

This full-day retreat will begin with a welcome warming tea and a settling meditation to ground and become present, to set intentions and recognise where we are at this time. We’ll move slowly into a soft flowing yoga practice to gently open the body and awaken subtle energies and we’ll complete the morning with pranayama and yoga nidra, a powerful lying down meditation to bring us into a state of calmness, bliss, joy and connection.

We’ll then enjoy a homemade yummy nutritional lunch before heading out to the beautiful grounds of Hatfield Park for mindful walking (barefoot optional!) and deep connections to nature . Once we’ve had our fill of nature, we’ll journey back to the comfort of the studio to enjoy a deeply nourishing yin and restorative yoga session followed by a another yoga nidra session. To top off the day we will close with meditation and pranayama as well as reflections.

Absolutely no experience necessary, just an open mind and a love of Nature!

'Louise is so kind and caring'

by Emma Scinaldi

'I started as a complete beginner and was worried I would not be able to follow the moves, but Louise is so kind and caring, plus really knows her stuff so is able to give very clear, supportive guidance. There is never any pressure as Louise always offers alternatives. With care and kindness she has encouraged me to really develop my practice. I always feel really energised after a session with Louise but I am also starting to notice a higher level of peace and tranquility in my day to day life. I feel strong and calm at the same time!

Your Teacher

'Yoga gives us peace and clarity in order to see the beauty and wonder that is all around us'

Louise Neicho

Having spent the first 20 years of my professional life working in and with nature I feel a deep connection to the natural world that has promoted numerous benefits in my life. Combining this with a love and appreciation of yoga and mindfulness that spans two decades (9 of them teaching) has enabled me to share practices that help us connect more deeply with nature and ourselves. I have completed over 1000hrs of yoga and mindfulness teacher training and I’m excited to be currently studying an MSc in Mindfulness and Neuroscience. I can honestly say that yoga and nature has saved my life on more than one occasion, and I don’t think I would be the person I am today if it wasn’t for my practice. To bring all of this together is simply a dream come true and I hope you will join me and our like-minded community soon.
