Practices to balance the nervous system and create holistic health
“Set peace of mind as your highest goal, and organise your life around it .”
~ Brian Tracy
Learning to balance our nervous system can have a profound effect on our overall health and well-being, how we show up in the world and how we deal with stress and the inevitable ups and down of life.
The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve connecting to all major organs in the body and is part of your parasympathetic nervous system which enables you switch off at the end of the day and enter a place of ‘rest and digest’.
Yoga and mindfulness can increase vagal tone ensuring that this place of ease and calm can be found more easily after difficult and stressful times.
These mini yoga and mindfulness practices will provide a way to reset your nervous system, tone and stimulate your vagus nerve and build resilience to times of difficulty.
