'Breathe to Release' Day Retreat

Sunday 21 January 2024, 10.00-16.30

“Some doors only open from the inside. Breath is a way of accessing that door.”

~ Max Strom

Conscious breathwork practiced with focus and intention has a calming effect, but we can also go deeper with specific breathing exercises to help shift old and stubborn thoughts/energies that have got trapped within our lungs.

These powerful breathwork practices help to access the subconscious memory and unexpressed emotions with the aim to bring them into our consciousness. By doing this we can understand them, cease to fear them and then heal them so stress and anxiety can be released.

To breath with consciousness allows us to access our inner world where emotions have been hidden or trapped. Cathartic breathing opens those doors to our inner world.

This 'Breathe to Release' Retreat will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Explore the ‘Breathe to Release’ techniques that can alleviate anxiety, depression, stress,
  • Create physical space in the body and a calmness of mind through gentle, mindful yoga,
  • Experience a deeply grounding yet energising drumming circle with chanting and dance,
  • Celebrate the New Year and balance your own energies with the rhythm of Nature,
  • Receive some well-deserved inner nourishment and deep rest.

No experience necessary, just a readiness to journey inwards.

This day with be co-hosted by Louise and Tracy Maunder, an experienced vibrational energy healer, to bring you a unique day to explore the healing power of the breath and welcome the New Year.

Trained by Max Strom,  a global breathing teacher, author and TED speaker, Tracy uses his ground breaking system of breathing techniques that are designed to have a calming effect on the nervous system and help move stagnant energies.

Tracy also specialises in balancing and re-energising the chakra system of the body via conscious breath work and guided meditations using her Tibetan Goddess bowls.

'Supports mental health'

by Finola McManus

'What I love best about your teachings is that they not only give the benefit of a yoga practice but also deliver simple and practical ways to apply the teachings in every day life and help support mental wellbeing which is especially important at this time.'

Tracy Maunder

During my 30 year career as a physiotherapist, I was always fascinated by helping patients with breathing conditions. The regular practise of deep breathing enabled people to live their lives more fully as conscious breathwork enhances the oxygenation of every cell within the body from head to toe. Conscious breathwork helps to bring about our best potential for concentration, sense of well being and increases ability to deal with stress. I then expanded this work by doing the Breath to Heal facilitators course with Max Strom who is a global breathing teacher. His specific deep breathing techniques aim to help move stagnant energies that may be held in the lungs and has a calming effect on the nervous system. So feelings of anxiety and stress related symptoms can be managed and sometimes even alleviated with daily practise.

'Helped me enormously'

by Amanda R

Tracy taught me the breathing techniques from Breath to Heal and they have helped me enormously! I hadn’t realised that I tend to hold my breath and breathe shallowly when I concentrate and when I’m upset. The conscious breathing helps me to concentrate more effectively and I have better energy levels to be more active!”

Louise Neicho

Having spent the first 20 years of my professional life working in and with Nature I feel a deep connection to the natural world that has promoted numerous benefits in my life. Combining this with a love and appreciation of yoga and mindfulness that spans over two decades has enabled me to share practices that help us connect more deeply with Nature and ourselves. I have completed over 1000hrs of yoga and mindfulness teacher training and in 2023 I received a distinction for my master's degree in Mindfulness where my thesis focused on the wellbeing benefits of connecting with Nature. I can honestly say that yoga and Nature has saved my life on more than one occasion, and I don’t think I would be the person I am today if it wasn’t for my practice. To bring all of this together is simply a dream come true and I hope you will join me and our like-minded community soon.

'Louise is so kind and caring'

by Emma Scinaldi

'I started as a complete beginner and was worried I would not be able to follow the moves, but Louise is so kind and caring, plus really knows her stuff so is able to give very clear, supportive guidance. There is never any pressure as Louise always offers alternatives. With care and kindness she has encouraged me to really develop my practice. I always feel really energised after a session with Louise but I am also starting to notice a higher level of peace and tranquility in my day to day life. I feel strong and calm at the same time!
