“There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart."
~ Celia Thaxter
The end of summer can often be difficult to navigate.
Even if we no longer take the whole summer off, it is often a carefree, abundant time spent outdoors with loved ones, exploring new places and living in a light-hearted, free-spirited kind-of-way.
So, when it comes the time to say goodbye to summer and enter back into our usual routines, it can feel challenging, especially if we struggle with the thought of winter approaching.
Louise’s Summer Farewell Retreat offers you a new way to navigate this time with ease and grace that will give you some practical tips and tools to use as we enter the autumn, as well as deep rest and nourishment for body, mind and soul.
It will take place at the beautiful Oak House Studio set within the grounds of Hatfield House where we’ll have the opportunity to explore this ancient landscape and connect with its abundant Nature.
This retreat is for everybody, complete beginners are very welcome, come just as you are!
Here’s what Louise has planned for this retreat:
RELEASE
Louise will guide you through a gentle, mindful yoga practice that will shift energies, shake out tension, and release the physical body. She will weave in theory on how we can release any holding we may have around the summertime as we enter a new season.
REFLECT
To conclude the morning, we’ll reflect on the joyful moments of summer, cherish the memories and appreciate the opportunities summer offered whilst beginning to consider how we'd like to approach autumntime.
RECONNECT
After a plant-based, nourishing lunch we’ll take a Nature walk through Hatfield Park’s ancient landscape where we’ll explore the seasons change and letting go with support from Nature, the breath, mindful meditations and physical connections to the land.
REST
We’ll return to the Oak House for an afternoon of deep, healing rest through restorative and yin yoga. You’ll also be treated to a deeply relaxing yoga nidra practice with sound therapy.
This Summer Farewell Retreat is for you if:
• You’re interested in exploring various forms of yoga and mindfulness (you could be a complete beginner),
• You would like to cultivate a positive attitude towards the turning of the seasons,
• You’d like to find inspiration and motivation to rekindle a routine that supports your well-being,
• You’d like to connect into the abundance, gratitude and lessons learned from the summer,
• You’re curious about (or very interested in) mindfulness, meditation and / or Nature connections as wellbeing techniques,

• Life feels full and you’re looking for a day to break from routine and give yourself time to rest,
